    • Developed grid-connected and fully-islanded microgrids in U.S. and abroad. The projects were instigated by improved economics and energy resiliency.

    • Advanced the development of IPP partner portfolios in PJM, ERCOT, CAISO, NYISO, MISO, and more for projects ranging from 5MW community solar to 400MW+ greenfield developments.

    • Served as Owner’s Engineer for utility-scale, co-located solar + storage retrofit projects. 

    • Led BESS procurement efforts for utilities and electric cooperatives for projects ranging from 20MWh to 400MWh.

    • Led technical diligence for power supply and controls for novel off-grid data center campus configurations.

    • Procured energy storage solutions for large tech firms to optimize energy savings for grid-connected data centers.

    • Facilitated wildfire mitigation projects for rural electricity cooperatives including undergrounding distribution networks, implementing distributed energy resources (DERs), and upgrading system controls.

    • Developed feasibility studies and preliminary designs for federal facilities to comply with DOD resiliency requirements.

We move projects forward

    • Origination & Early Stage Development Support: The Resilient team applies hard-won experience to de-risk projects from the outset. By taking a holistic view of project development, we build from a strong foundation and minimize the risk of development snags.

    • System Sizing: We run the numbers to find the right mix of generation, storage, and controls for each project. We suggest a range of efficient project configurations considering regionally-specific costs, applicable tariff structures, and the value of resiliency.

    • Conceptual Design: We create initial design concepts that align with project goals and technical requirements. Our deliverables include preliminary Single Line Diagrams (SLD), Site Layouts, and Performance Requirements.

    • Permitting & Interconnection: We leverage our experience to navigate permitting & interconnection processes as efficiently as possible. Our team has prepared and managed interconnection applications for more than 4.5GW of projects across North America.

    • Technical Modeling: Resilient offers technical modeling that spans the needs of most modern energy projects. We use industry standard tools to model solar energy production, simulate energy storage dispatch, and optimize microgrid systems. Offerings include: PVSyst, HOMER, ETAP, and more.

    • Technical Diligence: For our own development projects and client sites, we work to ensure the technical designs match the commercial terms in all project contracts and agreements. This includes equipment supply agreements, power purchase agreements, and long-term service agreements.

    • Risk Analysis: We identify and evaluate potential project risks to avoid or mitigate issues before they derail a project.

    • Equipment Selection & Procurement Strategy: We evaluate the latest applicable policy and current supply chain landscape to choose key equipment and vendors that match a project’s technical and economic objectives. 

    • Procurement Management: We prepare project-specific Request for Proposal (RFP) documents that enable efficient bid evaluation. We can oversee the entire procurement process including facilitating connections with the most appropriate vendors.

    • Market Pricing: the Resilient team prioritizes maintaining an accurate view of real world pricing for key equipment. For each project, we update our benchmarks with regionally-specific vendor outreach.

    • Policy Assessment: We track energy policy evolution to understand the risks and opportunities that the latest statutes and regulations may create for our projects.

    • Incentive Qualification: We work to identify qualifying incentives and ensure projects adhere to all applicable regulations.

    • Contract Negotiation Support: For partners that are new to the energy sector, we offer review and strategy support for negotiating key project contracts such as Power Purchasing Agreements (PPAs), Equipment Supply Agreements, and EPC Services Agreements.
